Hello Beautiful Girl Bosses! I hope that you ladies are all having a bossy start to the month of May. I don’t know if you all are aware, but May is a very important month for all of us. It is Mental Health Awareness Month!
With it first being observed back in 1949, Mental Health Awareness Month is a practice that should be observed every day of our lives and not solely during the month of May. As a business woman it is important to take time out to breathe, focus on yourself, and think about your future plans for yourself and your business.
Thinking about your mental health is definitely part of your, in all actuality this is one of the most important parts of your job. Think about it, if you don’t take care of yourself, how do you expect to take care of your business?
Getting organized (mentally and business wise), starting your day with a plan, exercising, incorporating breathing techniques can all help with the day to day “issues” such as anxiety, depression, and even OCD which all can be stress triggers when it comes to running a business. Having a grip on each day allows one to be successful not only in business, but in life.
So this month, Queens, make time for yourself (inside the house until the quarantine is up). Do a face mask, drink some wine, watch your favorite movies or read your favorite books! Talk with your loved ones and reassure them that you are taking care of yourself. You can even cry if you need to or even scream, but make sure you smile afterwards.
